What is the Sheva Shabbatot Project?
It's a new project that is being launched in memory of the seven Sassoon children who tragically died in a house fire in Brooklyn, New York, on the Friday night before Pesach.
Who is it for?
It is an international Project for all Jews. In Gibraltar, it is also for boys, girl, men and women of all ages.
Shoresh (a girls' organisation) is also hosting several events just for girls.
Who were the Sassoon children z"l?
Since each week of the Project is l'ilui nishmat one of the seven children, each week we will profile one of the seven children. You can learn more about who we have lost here.
I didn't get the booklet. Can I still get one?
Sure. You can download the booklet here or you can can email us and we will give you one.
Take on something small for the Sassoons
Part of this Project is taking on one small thing for 7 weeks l'ilui nishmat the Sassoon children z"l. You'll find some ideas of little things on page 2 of the booklet.
Are you doing any Shoresh events?
Yes, of course we're doing events - we're Shoresh!
Can I come?
Of course! (as long as you're a girl of high school age.)

Almost all the events are free except for the one where we have to charge for materials. Details here.
